Mike Josi

Mike Josi is an engineer, entrepreneur, and lifelong racer whose professional career centers on building high-performance systems—whether in technology or motorsports.

As owner of High Altitude Racing, Mike brings decades of competitive racing and mechanical experience to vehicle development, fabrication, race strategy, and driving.

Racing background

• 10 years in the Swiss National Karting Circuit
• 3 years of BMW M3 road racing
• 6 years of sanctioned Swiss motorcycle road racing on a Suzuki GSX-R 750
• Decades of road cycling, gravel racing, and mountain bike competition
• Head mechanic and technical lead across karting, motorcycle, automotive, and off-road programs

Mike’s background designing and operating large-scale technology systems—where performance, reliability, and precision are critical—is reflected throughout the HAR program.

Navigator / In-Car Mechanic

Josh Weissman

Josh has spent his life riding and exploring the deserts of the American Southwest, developing an instinctive feel for terrain, navigation, and race strategy.

In the car, he does far more than call directions. Josh reads the terrain, monitors race conditions, assists with vehicle diagnostics, and helps the driver make split-second decisions under extreme conditions.

His skill and experience have helped guide High Altitude Racing to multiple NORRA podium finishes.

Brian Crouch

Brian Crouch is a veteran racer, fabricator, and retired public utility professional whose motorsports career spans more than 50 years. His welding, fabrication, crew leadership, and mechanical knowledge make him an invaluable part of HAR.

Racing highlights

• Professional BMX racer by age 17 and former 125cc motocross competitor
• Crew Chief for California Lightning Sprint racing

Navigator / In-Car Mechanic

Andy Oliveri

Andy has spent his life riding and exploring the deserts of the American Southwest, building a deep understanding of terrain, navigation, and race strategy.

He continuously reads the course and race conditions, supports vehicle diagnostics, and helps the driver balance speed, safety, and mechanical preservation.

Andy’s experience and decision-making remain integral to High Altitude Racing’s engineering-first approach to desert endurance competition.
